Government of Telangana intends to set up an URBAN CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE (UCE) in a sprawling 45 acres campus on the outskirts of Hyderabad. This will have at least about 20 acres of open/green space.

MAP submitted our bid for the competition. The program analysis allows for design and function opportunities in the transitional spaces. The site and its topography give a unique opportunity to collect water and reuse, capture the Westerly wind flow to generate power and utilize the southern and western sun for solar generation. The formal development of the central tower is primarily to create an overlap and integration of the various lab and innovation spaces, showcase construction technology, create cooler comfort zones within the structure and house the kinetic element of the wind turbine that now acts as the moving part of the building. The power generation utilization and building analytics will make this campus an Iconic symbol the MANTHAN of knowledge and excellence.
